Every campaign in NUVIAD must include at least one Ad in order to start running.
The ads management section includes two different entities:
- Ad template
Let's review the differences between Ad templates and Ads:
An ad template is a basic entity which is not related to any campaign and contains the content of your ads, which can be different according to its type.
Before attaching an Ad to a campaign, first, you must create/upload an ad template.
The following is a list of available types:
An ad is a subset of an ad template, and it's limited to a single campaign. meaning, an ad can't be created on its own, but only from an existing ad template.
By attaching an ad template to a campaign, the system creates a new ad automatically and attach it to the given campaign. the result is an ad which contains the same content as the origin creative but limited to a single campaign.
Ad templates vs Ad:
Why do we need both ad templates and ads?
You must wonder why there are bothad templates and ads, why can't we just use creatives?
The answer is that there are a few important and unique details which only related to an ad:
Each ad includes a status, which indicates whether the campaign should use it or not.
There are a few possible statuses for an ad:
- ACTIVE: The ad is active and it will be used as long as the related campaign is active
- INACTIVE: Even if the campaign is active, the ad will not be used
- PENDING_VERIFICATION: The ad is currently in verification process and can't be run until verified
- REJECTED: The ad is rejected and can't be run on the platform
NUVIAD Ad verification process:
Each ad is automatically associated with the targeting configuration of the campaign is related to. by having this important information, our system and our ad-quality team are able to perform the relevant checks in order to determine whether the ad is legitimate to the given targeting, which ensures that both our advertisers and partner are pleased and can keep their good work!
Ad template status:
An ad template has a status too, which only indicates whether the ad template is allowed or rejected to use as part of the campaigns in NUVIAD.
By default, each new ad template is created with "ALLOWED" status, which can be changed to "REJECTED" in case of a violation of the NUVIAD ad quality terms.
It's important to understand that once an ad template gets a rejection, all the ads which created from this ad template get rejected as well. also, an ad template with "REJECTED" status can't be assigned to any campaign.
Important things to understand about the NUVIAD ad verification process:
Before your ads can be activated and run on the NUVIAD platform, our policy team must verify that the ad is legitimate, both according to our general policy and according to the targeting configuration of the related campaign.
It's important to understand that ad templates don't enter the verification process but only ads, so it's recommended to attach your ad template to a campaign as soon as possible, in order to make sure that once you want to start running your campaign you'll have verified ads.
